From Etsy To VC Funding

The Challenge

Siligrams started as an Etsy store selling customizable ice cubes.

After experiencing initial success on the platform, Siligrams developed a website and attempted to expand their acquisition efforts with paid media.

Siligrams struggled to generate profitable sales at scale on paid social as well as paid search.

 

The Solution

Growth Galaxy synchronized Siligrams’ strategy for paid social, paid search, and conversion rate optimization.

We conducted extensive testing and optimization on paid media platforms and helped Siligrams to better understand their customers using quantitative research, qualitative research, and transactional analyses. We then utilized this data to optimize and scale more efficiently.

 

Google Ads

Growth Galaxy helped Siligrams navigate the rapidly changing and increasingly nuanced Google Ads landscape.

We developed and continuously refined a paid search strategy tailored for their unique product offering.

 

Non-brand Search went from being a small part of Siligrams’ acquisition strategy to consistently driving a large amount of revenue at an excellent ROAS.

 

Facebook

We completely revamped Siligrams’ approach to Facebook by developing new customer-centric ad copy and messaging.

We also leveraged retargeting to maximize our returns and tested a variety of creative asset types, messaging, and placements for both cold and warm traffic.

We combined the client’s creative assets with user-generated content and content created by the Growth Galaxy design team to produce high-quality creative that drastically improved performance.

 

By continuously testing and optimizing different strategies on Facebook/Instagram, we were able to increase revenue from the platform by 316%.

 

Conversion Rate Optimization

We were able to learn more about the customers through heatmaps, session recordings, transactional analyses, and customer feedback that gave us data-driven direction on the refinement of our paid advertising strategy as well as strong guidance on the development of landing pages, and optimizing the pricing and product offering.

We ran split tests to optimize the customer experience and test the price elasticity of the market for our unique product offering, maximizing monetization potential.

Siligrams went from being fresh off Etsy to being in the process of seeking and securing Series A funding to enable even more rapid scaling.

In fact, we were able to increase the number of sales to the point that we encountered a supply chain bottleneck that required a drastic reduction in our advertising spend while Siligrams expanded their production capacity.

We worked with Siligrams through this turbulent period to maximize our advertising efforts while delicately balancing the volume of new orders and positioning for an aggressive re-scaling, which was a resounding success.

In addition to turning paid media into a major profit engine, we cemented Siligrams’ position as the market leader in the customizable ice cube market segment.
